Fundamentally, Bait and Switch is when a customer is lured with a low price and charged a much higher one upon completion. Unfortunately, the moving industry is plagued with this problem.
After more than 35 years in the moving business and representing the third generation of LeLacheur’s in this industry, we recognize the need to confront this issue.
We are pleased to offer our Clients a couple of options, regardless of whether the move is within Edmonton or a long distance move. The first option is our One Price Promise, which as the name would suggest offers you reassurance on how much your move will cost. On the assumption you know exactly what is moving and the services required, we are able to provide this option. Quite simply, this is my personal guarantee you will not pay more than the price quoted. Obviously, if items and/or services added after the submission of our initial Proposal, additional charges will apply.
The second option to combat the Bait and Switch is our Guaranteed Maximum. This pricing option allows you the best of both worlds. You may consider donating a bedroom suite to your favorite charity or family member. At time of our survey/appraisal of your goods to be moved, we are able to provide you a Guaranteed Maximum. If you dispose of items and/or elect to delete some services, the actual price of your move will decrease.
